Rules for Visitors

The Internationale Tage exhibitions, a cultural commitment of Boehringer Ingelheim since 1959, take place in the Kunstforum Ingelheim – Old Town Hall, which was extensively renovated, extended and made wheelchair accessible from 2016 to 2018.

Visitors
The Internationale Tage exhibition is open to all-comers. Children under the age of six may visit the Old Town Hall only if accompanied by an adult who assumes responsibility for their supervision. Teachers or escorts in charge of school classes, children or youth groups must be present during the visit to the exhibition and supervise the group until it leaves the exhibition. In particular, they are responsible for ensuring that the disturbance caused to other visitors to the exhibition is kept to a minimum. Visiting the exhibition in an inebriated state is not permitted.

The instructions of the cashiers and supervisory staff must be followed.

Admission fee
An admission fee is charged for the exhibition. Children up to 16 years of age are admitted free of charge.

Storage
For security reasons, any bags larger than DIN A 4 and all rucksacks must be placed in one of the lockers. Umbrellas, camera tripods, sticks (unless they are needed as a walking aid), skateboards, inline skates etc. must also be placed in a locker. Food and drink may not be taken into the exhibition rooms. This also applies to weapons of any kind and objects that could harm other people or damage property.

Behaviour
Visitors must behave in such a way as to avoid disturbing other exhibition visitors.
Do not
– touch the exhibits
– carry large items of clothing over your arm; they must either be worn or placed in a locker.
– bring animals into the exhibition room, apart from assistance dogs.
– smoke, eat or drink in the exhibition rooms, which are permitted only in the catering areas.

Contravention of the rules for visitors
Anyone who contravenes these rules for visitors may be expelled from the exhibition building. In this case the admission fee will not be reimbursed.

Suggestions, complaints, lost property
Suggestions and complaints can be accepted by any staff members of the Old Town Hall or the staff and management of Internationale Tage. A visitors’ book will be available. Please hand in any lost property to the cashiers.

Photography and filming
Photography and filming in the exhibitions is permitted for personal use only, but without the use of any tripods, flashes or additional lights. Anyone taking photographs or filming is responsible for observing copyright and intellectual property rights.

Liability
No liability is assumed for items placed in the cloakroom or lockers, e.g. bags, etc. Visitors are responsible for any damage they cause to objects and exhibits in the exhibition rooms in accordance with the provisions of the German Civil Code. Accompanying adults are liable for any damage caused by minors under their supervision.

The cashiers and supervisory staff, management and staff of Internationale Tage and the Works Security of Boehringer Ingelheim are authorized to enforce the house rules.

Effective date
The rules for visitors become effective on 18 April 2024.
